Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, in partnership with the Greater Enderly Neighborhood Association, Community Alliance and Project Safe Neighborhoods, will host a Back to School Bash to help students in all grade levels to prepare for the upcoming school year. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug.11, 2012, at the Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center, 2921 Tuckaseegee Road in Charlotte. Participants will be able to pick up free school supplies, network with other students, receive information from several local vendors providing discounts for uniforms, haircuts, dental care and other items and enjoy refreshments and activities. Students in grades other than high school should be accompanied by an adult. The Back to School Bash is sponsored by Wells Fargo and Verbatim.
